About Carley Petkovski

Carley is warm and empathic with a great sense of humour. She is particularly interested in working systemically, drawing from strength based therapies such as CBT, Narrative and Solution Focussed approaches, as well as Mindfulness and play therapy techniques. Carley is a registered Psychologist with over 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families across a broad range of issues and environments.
She has worked extensively with adolescents/youth who present with challenging behaviours and who are at risk of exclusion from mainstream society. She has also worked particularly with children and adolescents presenting with anxiety, depression and trauma relating to personal or social issues in the family.
She has worked with many families working on the parent-child relationship, parenting skills and behavioural issues, as well as adult work in depression, anxiety, postnatal depression and Domestic Violence.
She has an extensive understanding of issues surrounding trauma and abuse, gaining this experience through previous work settings both in Public and Private Practice.
Carley has previously written a module for The NSW Institute of Psychiatry on Parent /Adolescent conflict as well as presenting on child protection issues. She is also a board approved supervisor and can provide supervision to intern psychologists and other clinicians.
